The Newburyport ArtWalk Galleries, available as a self guided tour at any time, invite you to these special art-focused events beginning each year in April. The ArtWalk special events are when you may enjoy special gallery themes, artist receptions, light refreshments, new works of art, and more, at destinations all within walking distance around town. Some galleries may stay open later during special event dates.
Start at any gallery, at any time, pick up a map, and continue through to other galleries.

ArtsFest Merrimack Valley
Sept. 26, 27 & 28
Enjoy a special Newburyport Artwalk as part ArtsFest Merrimack Valley- the first ever Merrimack Valley-wide celebration of the arts, from Greater Lowell to the Sea!! The Newburyport Artwalk opening will be Friday, Sept. 26th from 12 -5 pm. Enjoy downtown Newburyport and the arts! Tour six galleries of Newburyport during the opening. Pick up your map at one the following galleries and walk your way through town enjoying artwork along the way.Bridge Gallery, Chameleon, The Churchill Gallery, Ferry Wharf Gallery, Firehouse Center for the Arts, Newburyport Art Association, Off the Wall, Somerby's Landing Sculpture Park, Valerie's Gallery, & The Walsingham Gallery. Visitors are invited to use the Artwalk Newburyport map to visit the open galleries during Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 27 and 28. Directions: Walsingham Gallery, 47 Merrimac St, Newburyport, MA, 01950
Take 95 to Exit 57/Rte 113 E. Turn left onto Green St. Follow signs to public parking on right at the bottom of Green St. Pick up your art trail map at Walsingham Gallery on the corner of Merrimac and Green Sts. ArtsFest Merrimack Valley is a collaborative event brought to you by the Merrimack Valley Economic Development Council and its partners, the Essex National Heritage Commission, Lowell Open Studios and Newburyport Artwalk.
